Ioannis Iakovou, MD, PhD’s training includes Research Fellowship in CRF (Director: M.B Leon), New York; and Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in Centro Cuore Columbus (Director: A. Colombo), Milan. He is a recipient of Onassis Foundation Scholarships, and he received the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Mitral and Tricuspid from University of Zurich (Director: F.Maisano). He was the Distinguished Runner up in the Thomas Linnenmeier Young Investigator Award in TCT 2005. He is the Director in Interventional Cardiology at the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, Athens, Greece.
