Dr. Gil Marom is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Mechanical Engineering of Tel Aviv University. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Tel Aviv University in 2013 and worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Biomedical Engineering in Stony Brook University from 2013 to 2017. Dr. Marom’s current research mainly focuses on numerical investigation of mitral valve surgeries, the function of the failing heart, the mechanics of the blood circulation in the placenta, spinal cord injuries, and biomimetic concepts for ventilation of interior spaces. He has authored more than 40 articles and book chapters.
