Keynote Title for Program: Data, AI and the future of personalized cardiovascular care
Geoff Martha, Chairman and CEO of Medtronic, will deliver a keynote address at the Innovation in Cardiovascular Interventions 2022 conference in Tel Aviv this December.
Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a mission to use the application of biomedical engineering to improve human welfare. Martha joined Medtronic in 2011 and led the company’s acquisition and integration of Covidien before stepping into the CEO role in 2020. That same year, FORTUNE Magazine named Medtronic among the top 15 companies for its 2020 “Change the World” list, recognizing its swift efforts during the pandemic. The publication also listed the company on its list of Most Admired Companies in 2021 and 2022. Medtronic was also named a World’s Best Workplace by Fortune in 2022.
Martha is recognized as a driven and innovative executive — ranking in Modern Healthcare’s 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare in 2020 and listed as the #1 CEO in healthcare technology by the Healthcare Technology Report in 2021.
He is a member of the Business Roundtable, the Business Council, and the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council. In 2021, he served as co-chair for the Taskforce on Health and Life Sciences for B20, a G20 engagement group. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Asia Society, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Business Partnership, as well as two Minneapolis-based nonprofit organizations. Before joining Medtronic, Martha spent 19 years at GE Healthcare and GE Capital.
In his talk, “Data, AI and the future of personalized care”, Martha will share how technology is redefining the way we diagnose, treat, and build ecosystems of care across chronic and acute conditions. He’ll discuss the latest breakthroughs Medtronic is leading in cardiovascular interventions, and highlight the role data, AI and machine learning play in delivering actionable insights that lead to improved patient outcomes.
