Dr. Olufunso Odunukan is an interventional cardiologist and structural heart specialist with Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott Arizona in the United States. He attended medical school at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria before moving to Boston for his Masters in the Public Health at Harvard University where he also completed a fellowship in Healthcare Management.  He trained in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota and completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Mayo Clinic in Florida.  His advanced fellowship in Interventional Cardiology was done at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla California where he spent an additional year training in structural heart (including the TAVR, MitraClip and Watchman procedures) and peripheral/endovascular interventions.  He was the winner of the David C. Leach award in 2016 awarded annually to 1 trainee nationwide by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education for the use of Humanism in Medicine.  He also won the 2021 Johns Hopkins Excellence in International Public Health award for his work in Nigeria through his Revolving Hearts Foundation NFP.

Dr Odunukan is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is also a certified public health practitioner.
